Spark Plugs
There's a lot going on inside your Ford's engine. There are many different stages your engine goes through to keep your car powered and running. One of these important stages is combustion (also known as the power or ignition). This stage is all realized through the power of a tiny spark. When you need that spark, your Ford's spark plugs are responsible for producing it. Although tiny, spark plugs are very important for the process and need to be in good working order. They help in transmitting electric current from your car's ignition system to its spark-ignition engine's combustion chamber. Once there, the electric spark ignites the compressed air/fuel mixture, causing your motor vehicle to start and run. Spark plugs are designed to last a long time, but they are subjected to pretty extreme conditions, so they can show signs of wear. Many auto manufacturers and experts recommend that you replace spark plugs after every 20,000-40,000 miles, though you should check your specific manual. You should consider replacing them sooner if you notice certain changes, including difficulty starting your car, a misfiring engine, poor fuel economy, and slow acceleration. When it's time to replace your Ford's spark plugs, don't just settle for cheap aftermarket options. Invest in quality, OEM Ford spark plugs that will last longer and provide you with more power.
